Camdenton Woman Wins $5,000 In Powerball

Story Photo A retired Camdenton woman has an extra $5,000 for retirement after playing Powerball on May 8. Shirley Wensel, 67, said bought $15 worth of Powerball plays since the jackpot was more than $200 million. She picked some of the numbers on the 15 combinations using numbers found in fortune cookies, and she let the computer pick a couple of combinations. The winning play was a Quick Picked combination. Those numbers were: 3, 9, 17, 43 and the Powerball number was 39. Wensel, who is retired from the Camdenton Lake Sun Leader, purchased her winning ticket at C & N South 5 Total, 324 S. Highway 5 in Camdenton. Powerball players can win the $5,000 third-level prize by matching four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number.
