Owensville Cook Whips Up $3,125 Using Her Address

Story Photo A cook for the Owensville Senior Center whipped up $3,125 using her house address numbers in the Missouri Lottery’s Pick 4 game on April 23. Lena Blackwell, 38, said she and her husband, Larry, plan to use the prize money to buy birthday gifts for their 3-year-old son and some items for their 11-year-old daughter. "I called the (lottery) hotline, and then I went right back in, turned the light on and told my mom," she said. Blackwell purchased her winning ticket at Ramey Super Market, Highway 19 S. in Owensville. The winning set of four numbers, which is also her house number, is 1, 7, 8 and 2. Pick 4 is a daily Numbers game that offers players a chance to win up to $6,000 by picking four numbers between 0 and 9. Players can also allow the computer to generate four numbers randomly for them.
