Columbia Mom Wins Second Big Lottery Prize

Story Photo A Columbia mom is planning to add some technology to her three sons’ bedrooms after winning $20,000 in the Missouri Lottery’s "Leprechaun Luck" Scratchers game. Kim Johnson, 32, said she plans to buy each of her three sons a television set for their rooms. "I’ll also buy a riding lawn mower," said Johnson, who works at Break Time and Leatherwood Hills convenience stores in Columbia. Johnson bought the winning ticket at VJ Convenience Store in Sedalia on her way back from picking up her niece in Springfield on April 4. This is the second big Missouri Lottery prize for Johnson. In June 2003, she won $300,000 on a $10 Scratchers ticket. "I bought a house and a Jeep with some of that prize money," she said. ?Leprechaun Luck,? a $2 Scratchers game, officially began on Jan. 31.
