$100,000 Powerball Prize Set To Expire In One Week

A Missouri Lottery player who shops at QuikTrip, 2805 N. Kansas Expressway in Springfield, might take one of the biggest losses of his or her life if the player doesn’t find the winning Powerball ticket in time. One ticket sold there for the Oct. 11, 2003, drawing matched all five white balls drawn that night to win $100,000 ? but the prize has never been claimed. It expires on April 8.
"We hope someone does some spring cleaning and finds this ticket in time," said Gary Gonder, director of communications for the Missouri Lottery. "It has happened before with a $1.3 million Lotto ticket. A Kansas City woman packed the ticket away in a pocket of her summer pants and found it the next spring when she was getting those clothes out of storage."
The five winning white-ball numbers from the Oct. 11, 2003, drawing are: 11, 14, 21, 32 and 45.
If you are lucky enough to find the ticket from that drawing with the winning numbers, take it to the Missouri Lottery regional office, located at 1506 E. Raynell in Springfield.
