Springfield Mother Finds Fistful Of Winnings
A Springfield family can start planning their first official vacation together after the mother won a $30,000 top prize in the Missouri Lottery’s "Fistful of $50’s" Scratchers game. Shareece Morris, 34, said her two children will probably want to go to Walt Disney World, but she isn’t sure where they will go.
"We’ve never been on a vacation," she said. "It looks like we’ve got some planning to do."
Morris bought three tickets from the new game on the morning of March 30, when she stopped in Express Lane, 1109 E. Battlefield in Springfield, for a couple of sodas before work. She said she picked that particular game because she had won $50 on a "Fistful of $50’s" ticket she bought last week. Morris said she buys about six to eight Scratchers tickets each week.
In addition to a trip, Morris, who works at Eyeglass World, also plans to use some of the prize money for a down payment on a truck for her husband, Alan.
The Missouri Lottery’s $2 "Fistful of $50’s" game officially started March 27.
