$1 Million Powerball Prize Split Three Ways

A Missouri Lottery ticket sold in Joplin matched all five white-ball numbers drawn in the Oct. 10 Powerball drawing. Christopher LaPosta of Neosho, Edward LaPosta of Lexington, South Carolina and Nathan Schilling of Lexington, Kentucky are splitting the big win.

The winning ticket was purchased at Snak-Atak, 4302 S. Main St., in Joplin. The store will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The winning Powerball numbers were: 8, 23, 27, 42 and 60.

Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game that features jackpots starting at $40 million. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m.
