Lottery Sends $17.4 Million To Education

The Missouri Lottery today sent $17.4 million to the Lottery Proceeds Fund for public education. Today’s transfer of $17,424,938 is based on ticket sales in February.
To date, the Missouri Lottery has generated more than $2.1 billion in proceeds for the state, including education, since ticket sales started in January 1986.

Two Huge Cash Prizes To Expire Soon
Missouri Lottery players who buy tickets in Springfield and Jefferson City should check their tickets carefully, since two big prizes will expire during April. The prizes are:
  • A Powerball ticket worth $100,000 sold at QuikTrip, 2805 N. Kansas Expressway, in Springfield for the Oct. 11, 2003, drawing. The winning numbers are: 11, 14, 21, 32 and 45. The ticket expires on April 8.
  • A SHOW ME 5 Paydown ticket worth $50,000 tax paid sold at Convenient Food Mart, 701 Eastland Drive, in Jefferson City for the Oct. 20, 2003, drawing. The winning numbers are: 11, 12, 32, 34 and 41. The ticket expires on April 17.
If you discover you hold one of these tickets, take it to the nearest Missouri Lottery office to claim your prize. There are Lottery offices in both Springfield and Jefferson City.
