Utica Woman Wins $9,000 After Bingo

Story Photo A 74-year-old Utica woman didn’t have luck playing bingo on March 6, so she stopped in Break Time, 300 S. Washington, in Chillicothe on her way home and bought five Missouri Lottery "Triple Cash" Scratchers tickets. Dorothy McCracken said she scratched off the latex on the tickets at home that night, and found that one of them was worth $9,000 and another was worth a free ticket. "I’d like to never get to sleep that night," said McCracken, when recalling her win. McCracken said she plans to use the prize money to get the interior of her home painted. She also said she will use some of the money to help pay expenses she recently incurred when she "had a bigger pond dug" on her property. "I love to fish," she said. The Missouri Lottery’s $1 "Triple Cash" game officially started Jan. 14.
