Theodosia Woman Wins $100,000 In Scratchers Game

Story Photo A Theodosia woman recently uncovered a $100,000 top prize on a Missouri Lottery "High Stakes" Scratchers ticket that she bought at their store. Barbara "Barb" McBride, 55, said her husband, Larry, bought the $5 ticket for her at their store, Theodosia Quick Stop, U.S. Highway 160 in Theodosia, on Feb. 26. "We didn’t sleep much last night," she said when she claimed her prize on Feb. 27. McBride said they plan to use the money to pay bills. They also might take a vacation to the Bahamas next winter. McBride has been laid off from her job at the Radisson Hotel in Branson since before Christmas. "High Stakes," a $5 Scratchers game, officially began Feb. 26.
