Moberly Man Wins Second Big Prize In Past Month

Story Photo A Moberly man and his wife might go on a vacation after winning $3,750 playing Pick 4 on Feb. 2. Richard Swank, 44, said he might also use his prize money to pay off a credit card. This prize came just two weeks after he won $1,000 on a Missouri Lottery Pull-Tab ticket. "We used that ($1,000 winnings) to pay off some Christmas expenses," he said. Swank, who works for a water-filtration plant, said he used the month and date he was born to pick his winning Pick 4 combination - 1, 1, 1, 6 - on a ticket he bought at Break Time, 1100 N. Morley in Moberly. In addition to his two recent prizes, Swank won $2,500 a few years ago playing Pick 4. Swank and his wife, Peggy, used that prize money to pay some bills and put new windows in their home. Pick 4 is a daily Numbers game that offers players a chance to win up to $6,000 by picking four numbers between 0 and 9. Players can also allow the computer to generate four numbers randomly for them.
