Ironton Man Claims $3.4 Million Lotto Jackpot

Story Photo An 59-year-old Ironton man matched all six Lotto numbers on Dec. 10, 2003, to win the game’s $3.4 million jackpot. Harold Ryder purchased his winning ticket at Duncan’s Mobil Mart, 3229 Highway W in Doe Run. He picked the numbers himself. They were: 1, 2, 5, 8, 29 and 37. In addition to Ryder’s win, Duncan’s Mobil Mart will receive a bonus equal to 1 percent of the jackpot - $34,000 ? for selling the winning Lotto ticket. To date, 191 jackpot tickets worth $1 million or more have been sold since the Missouri Lottery began 18 years ago. Of those tickets sold, 142 were from the Lotto game.
