Lotto Player Wins $1.5 Million, Powerball Players Win Thousands In Prizes

Story Photo One lucky Lotto ticket holder started the New Year off right by winning $1.5 million Wednesday, and Powerball players in Missouri won thousands of dollars by matching some of the numbers drawn in Wednesday’ s Powerball drawing for the $210 million jackpot. Thousands of Missouri Lottery players won prizes from $3 to $100,000 in Wednesday’s drawing, totaling more than $813,000.

The winning Lotto ticket was purchased at Ruby’s General Store, 985 S. Highway 37 in Seligman.

"Don’t discard your tickets if you don’t have all six numbers," said Gary Gonder, director of communications for the Missouri Lottery. "There are eight other ways to win a prize in Powerball and three other ways to win in Lotto."

"Approximately $7.8 million was generated for public education from Powerball sales during this run, which started on Nov. 5," said Gonder.
