ST. LOUIS WOMAN WON MORE THAN $45,000 IN CASH AND PRIZES ON GAME SHOW

A homemaker from St. Louis (63113)*, won $45,689.63 in cash and prizes on the Missouri Lottery’s "Fun & Fortune" television game show, which aired this past weekend.
Cassandra Brown, 45, competed in the show’s "Crazy 8s" preliminary round where she won $8,888 a gentleman’s Wittnauer watch, $300 worth of "Mega Slots" Scratchers tickets and a seat in the "$10,000 Championship" round.
During the later round, Brown won $10,000 but opted to risk losing half or increasing it to possibly $250,000 in the "Mega Multiplier" bonus round. In that round, Brown won a brand new Ford Explorer Limited, bringing her total winnings to date to $45,689.63 in cash and prizes. She will return again next week as the champion.
Brown purchased her qualifying ticket at Schnucks Market, 4127 N. Grand in St. Louis. The store received $2,020.69, an amount equal to 5 percent of Brown’s winnings, for selling the qualifying ticket.
The other contestants and their winnings from last weekend’s show are:

-- Larry Garrigus, Independence, who won $800;
-- Leslie Swaim, Grain Valley, who won $600 and a Cerwin Vega Surround Sound System;
-- Chris Stanek, St. Louis (63128)*, who won $700.
Nine home partners won a total of $2,593 on the show. Sandra Penning, St. Louis (63123)*, won $1,000; Paul Borst, Cape Fair, won $889; Harold Surface, Jefferson City, won $264; Steve Brunstrom, Fayette, won $100; M. McReaken, Vandalia, and Lisa Bell, New Bloomfield, won $80 each; Dave Antill, Kansas City, won $70; Mark Jacquin, Marthasville, won $60; and Vernon Brown Sr., Ballwin, won $50.
