SALISBURY MAN WINS $100,000 DURING LUNCH HOUR

Story Photo A construction worker from Salisbury built up his retirement nest egg when he uncovered a $100,000 prize instantly in the Missouri Lottery’s "$100,000 Vegas Money" Scratchers game. Don Binder, 60, said he was working on a Highway 54 project in Lake Ozark on Oct. 16, when he stopped in Minit Mart, 1780 Bagnell Dam Blvd. in Lake Ozark, for some coffee during his lunch break. He said he always buys two instant tickets, and that day was no exception. He bought two $5 "$100,000 Vegas Money" tickets; the first one he scratched off was worth $5 and the second one turned out to be worth $100,000. Binder said he plans to put most of his prize money into his retirement fund. He said he and his wife, Barbara, may also take a vacation to San Diego in January. "$100,000 Vegas Money," a $5 Scratchers game, officially went on sale Aug. 23.
