COLUMBIA WOMAN GIVES $12,500 PRIZE TO MOTHER

Story Photo It is Mother?s Day in October. Teresa Williams of Columbia gave her mother a very special gift ? a $12,500 Club Keno prize. Williams, 51, won the prize on Monday and knew right away where the money would go: to her mother, Naomi Williams, 74, also of Columbia. The younger Williams bought the winning ticket while on break at the restaurant where she works at The Inn, 3100 I-70 Drive S.E., in Columbia. She used family birthdays to pick the winning numbers on the seven-spot game using the Bulls-Eye feature. The winning numbers were 7, 9, 12, 27, 52, 53 and 68. ?I know my mom could really use it,? Teresa said. ?I?m working. She?s retired and on limited income.? Naomi Williams said the prize money was a wonderful gift. Teresa Williams said her mother plans to share some of the prize money with their home church in St. Louis. Club Keno began on May 28, 2002. Players can win from $1 to $100,000 per $1 ticket per drawing. Players who use Bulls-Eye could win between $2 and $50 for matching just the Bulls-Eye number and as much as $300,000 by matching all 10 numbers, including the Bulls-Eye number, in a 10-spot $1 game.
