FLORISSANT MAN WINS $100,000 PLAYING POWERBALL

Story Photo A Florissant man will be using his prize money to fix up his home to sell after winning $100,000 in the Oct. 4 Powerball drawing. Thomas "T.K." Rodgers, 69, said he and his wife, Mary, have been planning to move, and this prize money will help them prepare for that. "I’ll pay some bills, and I’ll pay my daughter’s car off," said Rodgers, who is a retired bi-state bus driver and Metro Link driver. Rodgers purchased his winning ticket at the Smoke Shop, 3130 Telegraph Road in Florissant. He let the computer pick the winning numbers. They were: 8, 13, 29, 44 and 48. To date, 663 Powerball tickets sold in Missouri have matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win the $100,000 prize.
