WAYNESVILLE RETAILER WINS $1,000 A WEEK FOR A YEAR
The owner of D & G Package Store in St. Robert got a pleasant surprise when she recently bought two "Weekly $1,000 Payday" Scratchers tickets while working at her store. Esther Gottowski, 72, of Waynesville said she bought two of the $2 instant tickets on Sept. 8, and both of them were winners: the first one was a $2 winner, and to her surprise, the second one was worth $1,000 a week for a year."I plan to put some (winnings) in savings, and I will also put some in (savings) for my grandson’s education," she said. "He’s a fine young man."
Gottowski, who has owned D & G Package Store for the past 30 years, said she will also give some of her winnings to her only daughter.
"She couldn’t believe it when I told her," said Gottowski.
The Missouri Lottery’s $2 "Weekly $1,000 Payday" game officially started June 7.
