JEFFERSON CITY MAN WINS $5,000 PLAYING POWERBALL

Story Photo A Jefferson City man is $5,000 richer after matching four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball on his ticket for the Aug. 27 Powerball drawing.   Randy Bellinger, 47, said he has no special plans for the money yet.

"I’ll probably put half of it in savings," he said.   "That way it’ll be there if I need it."

Bellinger, who is a nuclear electrician for Ameren, said he bought his winning ticket at Gerbes, 2805 W. Truman Blvd. in Jefferson City.
