KANSAS CITY MAN UNCOVERS $300,000 INSTANTLY

A 23-year-old Kansas City man is house shopping and getting ready for a trip to Las Vegas after uncovering a $300,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket.   On Aug. 22, Kasey Hailey (64157*) said he stopped in QuikTrip, 2590 N.E. 72nd St. in Kansas City, to visit a friend who works there and get water, when he decided to buy a $1 Scratchers ticket.  He won $7 on the ticket and added $3 more to buy one $10 "$300,000 Casino Thrills" ticket; it turned out to be worth the game’s top prize of $300,000.

"I might buy a ’66 Continental with suicide doors," he said.   "I’ve always wanted one."

Hailey, who works as an inspector for Lear Corp., said he also plans to pay his debt off with some of the money, in addition to buying a house, a car and taking a trip to Las Vegas.

"$300,000 Casino Thrills," a $10 Scratchers game, officially went on sale June 7.
