A retired aircraft worker is flying high after matching all five numbers in the Aug. 10 SHOW ME 5 Paydown drawing to win $50,000 tax paid.* Kenneth Bray, 78, said he can now replace his 1990 Buick with a newer car. He and his wife, Opal, also plan to pay off all their bills with the prize money. Bray purchased his winning ticket at Snak-Atak, 1224 W. Central in Carthage. He let the computer select the winning combination. Those numbers were: 7, 13, 40, 41 and 43.
To date, 59 players have matched all five numbers drawn to win $50,000 tax paid in SHOW ME 5 Paydown since the game began Nov. 6, 2000.
* The Missouri Lottery will pay 27 percent federal and 4 percent state withholding taxes for the top prize based on it’s value. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may be entitled to a refund. Total value of the top prize is $72,463.76. After withholding, winners will receive $50,000. If more than 14 players match the five winning numbers in a single drawing, $1 million will be divided equally among the number of winning tickets.
