Story Photo A Lincoln University student may be able to slow down a little from working three jobs after he won $9,000 on July 10 playing "Triple Money," a Missouri Lottery Scratchers game.   Paul Kay, 21, of Jefferson City said he’s been working three jobs to try to pay for his school expenses and is ready to put some extra money in the bank.

Kay said he was standing in line to pay for gas at Break Time, 1200 Missouri Blvd. in Jefferson City, around 11:30 p.m. when the guy in front of him bought 20 "Triple Money" tickets.

"He didn’t win much, and I thought, ’There’s got to be a winner coming up,’ so I bought the next one," Kay said.

Kay said the winning "Triple Money" ticket was only the second Scratchers ticket he has ever purchased.   He purchased the first one a few years ago and won $125.

"I’m a broke college student, so this is great," Kay said.

Kay said he plans to put the prize money in the bank to draw as much interest as it can.

"Triple Money," a $1 Scratchers game, officially went on sale March 1.
