Daust purchased his qualifying ticket at Schnucks Market, 4333 Butler Hill in St. Louis. He only had one entry in the wheel spin drawing.
Kathy McCabe, 33, of Licking also spun the wheel and landed on a $10,000 spot. The cashier and part-time bartender said she plans to buy a new car and take a trip to Florida to visit her son with her prize winnings.
McCabe purchased her qualifying ticket at Corner Express in Licking. She sent only one entry in for the wheel spin drawing.
In addition to Daust and McCabe’s prizes, two other contestants each won $5,000 in the wheel spin. Sandi Steck, 52, a retired school teacher from Springfield, said she plans to buy several little things like a new barbecue grill and new items for the bathroom with her prize money. She bought her qualifying ticket at Price Cutter Plus, 4228 S. National in Springfield.
Cherri Norris of Oregon also won $5,000 in the wheel spin. The 35-year-old cashier said she plans buy a big screen television or some new furniture with her winnings. She bought her qualifying ticket at Roger’s Green Hills, 1004 Fifth Ave. in St. Joseph.
A total of $30,000 in prizes was awarded during the event. In addition to the prize money won through the actual Wheel Spin event, the contestants each received a check for $500 for being selected as a finalist.
The Lottery’s last “Fun & Fortune” Wheel Spin event is scheduled for Aug. 1 at Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City.
The game’s $2 Scratchers ticket will end June 30, and the deadline for entry in the final “Fun & Fortune” Wheel Spin event is July 24 at 3 p.m. Beginning July 24, winning ENTRY tickets can be redeemed for a $2 free-ticket.
