St. Francois County Business Recognized for Excellence

A Farmington business is one of only 67 Missouri Lottery retailers receiving membership into the 2017 Million Dollar Club. Based on their 2017 sales, Country Mart, 125 W. Karsch in Farmington, earned membership into the elite group. Updated annually, the Million Dollar Club is comprised of Lottery retail locations that sold more than $1 million in Lottery products the previous year.

“What an accomplishment for Country Mart’s management and their employees,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “We have more than 4,600 retailers across the state who help us generate additional funding for public education, and the Million Dollar Club allows us to recognize the few who go above and beyond.”

Reardon said that Country Mart’s inclusion in the 2017 Million Dollar Club marks the second time they have earned membership. Based on their Lottery sales from the past two calendar years alone, Country Mart has generated more than $512,000 for public education.

“To celebrate, we hosted a customer appreciation event at Country Mart yesterday,” said Reardon. “Events like this allow us to celebrate Country Mart’s success with their customers.”
To date, Lottery sales have generated more than $6 billion for the state and public education programs. In the most recent fiscal year, public education programs in St. Francois County received more than $1.9 million in funding.
