TUNAS MAN WINS $50,000 TAX PAID

A retiree from Tunas used numbers from birthdays and anniversaries and won $50,000 tax paid* playing SHOW ME 5 Paydown on June 7.   William Long, 75, said he plans to put his prize money in the bank.

Long purchased his winning ticket at Melton’s 64-73 Junction in Buffalo.  The winning numbers were 6, 19, 22, 28 and 29.

To date, 56 players have matched all five numbers drawn to win $50,000 tax paid in SHOW ME 5 Paydown since the game began Nov. 6, 2000.

*  The Missouri Lottery will pay 27 percent federal and 4 percent state withholding taxes for the top prize based on it’s value.  Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may be entitled to a refund.  Total value of the top prize is $72,463.76.  After withholding, winners will receive $50,000.  If more than 14 players match the five winning numbers in a single drawing, $1 million will be divided equally among the number of winning tickets.
