A Powerball player who bought a ticket in French Village became the 480th Missouri Lottery-made millionaire over the weekend. A customer at Jake’s Express Shop & Deli, 6104 Highway Y, won the $1 million “Match 5” prize after matching all five white-ball numbers drawn in the Dec. 23 drawing.  The winning number combination was 1, 3, 13, 15 and 44.

“If you’re holding this million-dollar Powerball ticket, please sign the back of it immediately and keep it in a safe place until you’re ready to claim your prize,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery.
The win marks the 48th time a Missouri Lottery player has won a $1 million Powerball “Match 5” prize since January 2012.

“But that’s not all,” Reardon noted. “Two additional Powerball players in Missouri won $50,000 Saturday night by matching four of the five white-ball numbers drawn, plus the Powerball number.”

Those tickets were sold at Break Time, 1200 Missouri Blvd. in Jefferson City, and Petro Mart, 1430 S. Kirkwood Road, in Sunset Hills.

Draw Game winners have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winners have until June 21, 2018.  Prizes can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s four offices, which are located in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Kansas City and Springfield.

The jackpot for Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing is now estimated at $337 million.

“It’s always a lot of fun when the jackpots start to soar, but we want to remind everyone to play responsibly,” Reardon added. “Remember, it only takes one ticket to win.”
