Story Photo

A Springfield woman now has 100,000 more reasons to love Powerball. Rhonda Carlton, who has played the same numbers for more than 20 years, matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball number in the Oct. 11 drawing. By selecting the Power Play option, she doubled the usual $50,000 third-level prize to $100,000. The Oct. 11 Powerball numbers drawn were 1, 3, 13, 19, 69 and the Powerball was 23. The Power Play number drawn was 2.

Carlton purchased her lucky ticket at Walmart, 3536 W. Mt. Vernon St., in Springfield.

Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game that features jackpots starting at $40 million. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. Research all current and past winning numbers at MOLottery.com.
