Do you buy Lottery tickets in Spanish Lake? If so, you’ll want to check your Powerball tickets extra closely today. A customer at Charlie’s Food Mart, 12316 Bellefontaine, is the Missouri Lottery’s newest millionaire after matching all five white-ball numbers drawn in the Sept. 16 drawing to win the $1 million “Match 5” prize.  The winning number combination was 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31.

“If you’re holding this million-dollar ticket,  please make sure you sign the back of it immediately, and keep it in a safe place until you’re ready to claim your prize,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery.

The win marks the 47th time a Missouri Lottery player has won a $1 million Powerball “Match 5” prize since January 2012.

Saturday night’s drawing also produced a $50,000 winner in the area, when a ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers drawn, plus the Powerball number. That ticket was sold at Schnucks Market, 3430 S. Grand Blvd., in St. Louis.

Draw Game winners have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In the case of Saturday’s winners, the deadline is March 15, 2018.  Prizes can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s four offices, which are located in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Kansas City and Springfield.

The estimated jackpot for Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing is $40 million.
