Ridgedale Business Breaks Personal Record

When it comes to Missouri Lottery sales, Wild Bill’s Travel Center, 3799 Ridgedale Road in Ridgedale, had its best year ever last year. In 2016 alone, Wild Bill’s sold more than $1 million in Lottery products, making them first-time members in the Lottery’s annual Million Dollar Club.

“We are fortunate to have retail partners like Wild Bill’s working with us to generate funding for Missouri education,” said May Scheve Reardon. “In fact, public education programs received more than $250,000 from Wild Bill’s alone.”

Reardon continued, saying that the Lottery’s 2016 Million Dollar Club consists of 52 retail locations – the most ever – from across the state, each selling more than $1 million in Lottery tickets. Each retail location will receive a Lottery-hosted customer appreciation event in celebration of the location’s success.

“We will be at Wild Bill’s today, acknowledging their success and awarding prizes to their customers,” said Reardon.
All Lottery proceeds benefit public education institutions and programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools and the Classroom Trust Fund, among others. In the most recent fiscal year, more than $1.1 million from Lottery proceeds went to education programs in Taney County. Players in Taney County won more than $10 million, and more than $930,000 was paid in retailer incentives.
