ST. LOUIS HOMEMAKER FINDS $50,000 IN CROSSWORD

Story Photo Three is a charm for a St. Louis homemaker (63113*) who recently won $50,000 on a Missouri Lottery "Crossword" ticket.    Cassandra Singleton, 46, said on April 28, she stopped at Regal Market, 2800 N. Sarah in St. Louis, to play Pick 3.  While there, she also decided to buy three “Crossword” Scratchers tickets.  The third ticket she bought turned out to be worth $50,000.

“I love Crossword,” she told Lottery officials on April 29, when she claimed her prize.

Singleton said she and her husband, Randy, plan to use the money for a down payment on a house.   They also plan to pay some bills with the winnings.

In addition to this win, Singleton previously won a Ford Explorer and $8,888 on the Missouri Lottery’s former television game show “Fun & Fortune” on March 23, 2002.

The Missouri Lottery’s $3 "Crossword" game officially started Oct. 12, 2002.
