He didn’t get the ticket he had planned to buy, but a last-minute substitution worked out even better for Dustin Street of Warsaw. The construction worker uncovered a $55,558 top prize on a Missouri Lottery “Bingo Plus” Scratchers ticket, after the ticket he originally wanted was temporarily sold out.

“I play the bingos, crosswords and ‘Buried Treasure,’” he said of his regular Scratchers game preferences. “They were out of the ‘Buried Treasure,’ and that’s the reason that I got this bingo.”

Street made the lucky purchase at Pump & Munch, 34426 Highway 65 in Warsaw, where discovering the top prize “pretty much just blew [his] mind.”

Plans for the unexpected payout were easy to determine for Street and his fiancée.

“We’re in the process of buying a house, so that pretty much finalizes that,” he shared.

When asked if he’d continue to play Missouri Lottery Scratchers games, his response was just as quick.

“Oh, yeah,” he answered.

Bingo Plus” is a $3 game that officially went on sale March 6. More than $6.2 million in prizes remain, including another top prize of $55,558.
In the most recent fiscal year, players in Benton County won more than $2.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. An additional $896,517 from Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county, and $297,298 was paid to local businesses in the form of retailer incentives.
