Scott County Business Receives Distinction for High Sales

Each year, the Missouri Lottery compiles a list of retail partners that sold more than $1 million in Lottery products the previous year – the Million Dollar Club. One such business included in the 2016 Club is Break Time, 420 N. Main St., in Sikeston.

“What a great achievement for this Break Time and their customers,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “Not only is this the third year Break Time earned a spot in the Club, but public education benefited by more than $249,000 based on their 2016 sales.”

In appreciation for their efforts, the Missouri Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event on April 27. The Million Dollar Club events aim to celebrate the location’s success by awarding their customers with prizes.

“In the 31 years since sales started, the Missouri Lottery has generated more than $5.6 billion to the state and public education programs,” said Reardon. “Our success isn’t possible without the dedication from all of our retail partners, but especially from those who go above and beyond like this Break Time.”
