$50,000 'Buried Treasure' Found in Boonville

A Boonville resident is receiving a check worth $50,000, courtesy of the Missouri Lottery. Manubahen Patel, 63, claimed one of the eight $50,000 top prizes offered with the Lottery’s “Buried Treasure” Scratchers ticket. Patel purchased his winning ticket from Boonville Eagle Stop, 16900 Route B, in Boonville.
Introduced on Dec. 27, 2016, “Buried Treasure” is a $3 Scratchers ticket with more than $5.5 million in remaining prizes ranging from $3 to $50,000. During fiscal year 2016, players in Cooper County won more than $3.1 million in prizes. An additional $321,000 from Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county, and $234,000 was paid in retailer incentives.
