Ladue Resident Wins $1 Million Playing Powerball

Story Photo

It doesn’t always take a jackpot win to become a millionaire in Powerball. John Shepherd of Ladue is the newest Missouri Powerball millionaire after he matched five white-ball numbers for the Feb. 11 drawing to win $1 million: 5-9-17-37-64, and the Powerball number was 2.

Shepherd purchased his winning ticket at Parker BP, 12095 Benham Road, in St. Louis. The retailer will receive a $1,000 incentive for selling Shepherd’s $1 million Powerball ticket.

Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game that features jackpots starting at $40 million. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. Research all current and past winning numbers at MOLottery.com.
