Story Photo

A Savannah man matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball-number to win $50,000 on the Dec. 21 drawing. Harold Kerns purchased his winning ticket at Break Time, 204 S. 71 Highway, in Savannah. Kerns claimed his prize on Feb. 14 at the Lottery’s Kansas City office.

Kerns is the 78th Missouri Lottery Powerball player to win a $50,000 prize since a game change in 2015 increased the third-tier prize from $10,000 to $50,000.

A $2 per play multi-state Draw Game, Powerball features jackpots starting at $40 million that have grown to $1.5 billion.
