OWENSVILLE MAN WINS $37,485 ON GAME SHOW

A retiree from Owensville won $37,485 on the Missouri Lottery’s "Fun & Fortune" television game show, which aired this past weekend.
John Peterman, 62, competed in the show’s "9 Ball" preliminary round where he won $7,485 and a seat in the "$10,000 Championship" round. During the later round, Peterman won $10,000, but opted to risk losing half or increasing it to possibly $250,000 in the "Mega Multiplier" bonus round.
In the end, Peterman won $30,000, bringing his total cash winnings to date to $37,485. Peterman will return again next week as the champion.
Peterman purchased his qualifying ticket at Break Time in Owensville. The store received $1,874.25, an amount equal to 5 percent of Peterman’s winnings, for selling the qualifying ticket.

Melissa Nunes, Moberly, won $700;
Tim Danback, Beaufort, won $700;
Odessa McCottrell, St. Louis (63130)*, won $600;
Frank Cerniglia, St. Charles, won $600.
Nine home partners won a total of $2,835 on the show. Jill Riley, Moberly, won $1,000; Jerry Tapp, Springfield, won $749; Monica Hartley, Boonville, won $676; Ron Ames, Holts Summit, won $100; Darrell Barron, Farmington, and Vivian Harms, Concordia, each won $70; Earl Jacobs, Foristell, and John Schnieders, Baxter Spring, Kan., both won $60 each; and Teresa Matich, Laddonia, won $50.
