HIGH HILL WOMAN FINDS $5,000 IN CROSSWORD

Story Photo Playing "Crossword" paid off for a High Hill homemaker when she uncovered a $5,000 cash prize.   Barbara Dixon, 50, said she stopped in Junction Fuel and Grocery in New Florence to buy a soda on March 28.  While she was there, she bought one "Crossword" Scratchers ticket and two "Tic Tac Toe" tickets.  When she scratched the latex off the tickets at home later, she discovered the one "Crossword" ticket was worth $5,000.

Dixon said she plans to use some of her winnings to buy tires for her husband’s truck and to pay for some repair work on it.   She also plans to buy him a new pair of boots.

The Missouri Lottery’s $3 "Crossword" game officially started Oct. 12, 2002.
