Refueling Stop Ends in $200,000 Scratchers Top Prize

Nov. 18, 2022

Heading to work, a Missouri Lottery player stopped by QuikTrip, 13100 Holmes Road in Kansas City, to purchase fuel and a “Silver Bells” Scratchers ticket. The ticket turned out to be worth the pit stop when it revealed one of the game’s $200,000 top prizes.

“I started shaking,” the winner laughed. “You just don’t believe it’s true.”

He plans to use the money to travel, as well as put some in savings for a rainy day.

"Silver Bells"  is a $10 Scratchers game. Currently, there are over $11.1 million in unclaimed prizes in the game, including one final top prize of $200,000 and three $20,000 prizes.

In FY22, players in Jackson County won more than $103.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $9.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $50.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
