$50,000 Powerball Prize Won in Des Peres

Nov. 23, 2022

A $50,000 Missouri Lottery Powerball prize from the Oct. 31 drawing was claimed in the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on Nov. 9. The winner explained she bought a Quick Pick ticket at Circle K, 12804 Manchester Road in Des Peres, in the hopes of winning the big jackpot and didn’t check it until the following week.

“It said call the Lottery offices. That's how I suspected it was a bigger amount," she recalled.

The numbers drawn Oct. 31 were 13, 19, 36, 39 and 59, and the Powerball number was 13. Her ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers, plus the Powerball, to win a $50,000 prize.

"I said, ‘Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh!’" she laughed. "(My kids and I) were all running around and yelling and screaming. It was really exciting."

Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is estimated at $30 million. Since the Powerball jackpot was hit on Saturday, the “Jackpot Reset” promotion is activated through Nov. 26 – giving players who buy three Powerball plays on a single ticket a free $2 Powerball ticket.

Players who purchased tickets in St. Louis County in FY22 won more than $205.1 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers in the county received more than $19.5 million in commissions and bonuses in FY22, and education programs received more than $39 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
