A Missouri Lottery player hoping to win a growing Powerball jackpot purchased a ticket that eventually led to a $50,000 prize in the Nov. 5 drawing.
The winning ticket, which matched four out of five white-ball numbers drawn as well as the Powerball number, was purchased at Country Club Express Wash, 17195 Chesterfield Airport Road, in Chesterfield.
The winning numbers on Nov. 5 were 28, 45, 53, 56 and 69 with a Powerball number of 20. The ticket was later claimed at the Missouri Lottery St. Louis office on Nov. 8.
Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. All current and past winning numbers can be found at MOLottery.com.
In FY22, players in St. Louis County won more than $205.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $19.5 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $39 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
