$50,000 Powerball Prize ‘Freaked Out’ Winner in Bland

Nov. 21, 2022

A Powerball ticket purchased for the Nov. 5 Powerball drawing at K&M Country Store, 203 W. Colorado Ave. in Bland, resulted in a lucky Missouri Lottery player winning $50,000.

The day after the drawing, the player went back to the store to check her ticket.

“I scanned it, and it said something like, ‘Claim at Lottery,’” she said. “So I asked the lady behind the counter what that means.”

After the clerk scanned the ticket, she told the player she had won a $50,000 prize.

“I was just totally freaked out!” she laughed. “I about dropped to my knees!”

The winning numbers on Nov. 5 were 28, 45, 53, 56 and 69, with a Powerball number of 2. The winning ticket matched four of the white-ball numbers drawn, as well as the Powerball number.

Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. All current and past winning numbers can be found at MOLottery.com.
