Show Me Cash Free Gas Sweepstakes

The “Show Me Cash Free Gas Sweepstakes” is available daily, 5 a.m., Sept. 8, through midnight, Oct. 11, 2008, except during the Show Me Cash daily draw breaks from 6:45 p.m. to 6:59 p.m.

A numbered sweepstakes ticket will follow every $2 or greater Show Me Cash single-ticket purchase for the current draw.

MULTI-DRAW: A multi-draw wager produced during the promotion qualifies and will be followed by one sweepstakes ticket, provided that the value of the ticket equals at least $2 per drawing, starting with the current draw.

CANCELS: If any qualifying Show Me Cash ticket is canceled on the day it is produced, the accompanying sweepstakes ticket will be ineligible for any drawing.

Players must retain their sweepstakes ticket until the final drawing date to determine if they are a winner and to claim ownership of any prize associated with their sweepstakes ticket.

Only sweepstakes tickets produced in the appropriate time frame (as listed below) will be eligible for that Weekly Drawing. Sweepstakes tickets produced after the time frame for Weekly Drawings 1 through 3 will be eligible for the next scheduled Weekly Drawing. Sweepstakes tickets will not be produced after the timeframe for Weekly Draw 4. All sweepstakes tickets produced by midnight, Oct. 11, 2008, will be eligible for the Grand-Prize drawing. A SWEEPSTAKES TICKET IS ONLY ELIGIBLE FOR ONE WEEKLY DRAWING AND CANNOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR ADDITIONAL WEEKLY DRAWINGS IN THIS PROMOTION. ALL SWEEPSTAKES TICKETS PRODUCED BEFORE MIDNIGHT ON OCT. 11, 2008, WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE GRAND-PRIZE DRAWING.

All valid, non-cancelled sweepstakes tickets produced within the listed time frame in rule #6 will be eligible for a chance to win the following prizes:

GRAND-PRIZE DRAWING:
Grand Prize: One (1) winner of five years' worth of free gasoline to be awarded in the Grand-Prize drawing on Oct. 14, 2008. Cash value of the prize equals $12,000*. The Missouri Lottery will pay standard federal and state withholding taxes for the Grand Prize based on the total prize value. The winner will be responsible for any additional applicable taxes.

WEEKLY DRAWINGS:
First Prize: Ten (10) winners of one year's worth of free gasoline to be awarded in each Weekly Drawing. Cash value of the prize equals $2,400*. Four drawings total – 40 prizes awarded. The Missouri Lottery will pay standard federal and state withholding taxes for the weekly prize based on the total prize value. The winner will be responsible for any additional applicable taxes.

* Based on average annual mileage of 12,000 miles, fuel consumption of 20 miles per gallon of gasoline and a
price of $4 per gallon of gasoline.

A player may win more than once in this promotion.

A prize winner will have 180 days from the final weekly and Grand-Prize drawing date (Oct. 14, 2008) to furnish the Missouri Lottery with the winning sweepstakes tickets. All “Show Me Cash Free Gas Sweepstakes” tickets issued in this promotion and turned in for redemption after that date are null, void and ineligible for any prize.

Winning sweepstakes tickets must be presented to the Missouri Lottery for validation. The sweepstakes ticket can be mailed to the address listed below, hand delivered to Missouri Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City or any of the regional offices located in St. Louis, Kansas City or Springfield. The Missouri Lottery is not responsible for incomplete, illegible, misdirected, damaged, late, lost, or postage-due submission of the “Show Me Cash Free Gas Sweepstakes” tickets. Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of delivery. It is recommended that players make and keep a copy of the original sweepstakes tickets for their own records.

Once a sweepstakes ticket is declared a valid, winning ticket, the claimant will be mailed and required to fill out a promotional claim form, as well as furnish their Social Security number to the Missouri Lottery. The claim form must be returned to the Missouri Lottery in order for a check to be issued to the winner.

The Missouri Lottery has the right to release prize winner information to various media sources and list winners’ names and pictures on www.molottery.com.

The Missouri Lottery, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if any prize cannot be awarded as described due to unavailability or for any other reason. Additional restrictions and conditions specific to any particular prize will be disclosed to winners upon prize notification.

The prizes pictured in game/promotional materials are for illustrative purposes only.

Only persons 18 years of age or older are eligible to participate and redeem prizes. Winners may be required to furnish proof of age.

The chances of winning are dependent upon the number of sweepstakes tickets produced for each drawing.

Any additional local, state, federal or other taxes, expenses or surcharges associated with the prizes not mentioned in these rules are the responsibility of the winner.

The Missouri Lottery makes no implied warranties of any kind with respect to the safety, appearance or performance of any prize offered.

In the event of a dispute arising out of these rules and procedures, a player’s sole remedy is limited to entry into another promotional drawing or event with prizes of similar value.

Each person participating in this promotion agrees by the act of participation to be bound by these rules and procedures, statutes, administrative rules and procedures of the Missouri Lottery.
